The daily routine of the French youth protection police BPM (Brigade de Protection des Mineurs) consists of arrests of young pickpockets, investigations of violent crimes against children, interrogations of young people. But also lunch breaks in which marital problems are discussed, cohesion among colleagues and fits of laughter in the most impossible situations. The police officers are under enormous pressure and don't always manage to leave their private lives unimpressed. They are accompanied by the photographer Melissa, who is commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior to write a book about police work - which is met with a great deal of scepticism by the people involved, especially the policeman Fred, who finds it difficult to come to terms with, at least at first...
