Nothing Else Matters

Carla (Paula Kalenberg) has run away from home and wants to study fashion in Lyon. But right at the beginning of her journey, she is robbed and left without any belongings. She hangs out with Rico, who is converting a boat into a pub and gives her a job on his construction site. In return, Carla gets into bed with him. On the boat, Carla meets Lucy (Marie-Luise Schramm), who lives there with her brother Michael (Benjamin Kramme). The two girls become friends, until Carla is horrified to discover that she is pregnant from her one-night stand with Rico. Lucy, who wants to keep Carla close, proposes a deal: Carla should have the child, but she, Lucy, would claim to be the mother and raise the child after the birth. Carla agrees to the proposal and moves into an apartment with Lucy and her brother Michael. The brother threatens to expose the deception. And Carla also begins to doubt her denied motherhood.
