High Life

In the depths of space. Beyond our solar system. Monte (Robert Pattinson) and his daughter Willow (Jessie Ross) live together aboard a spaceship. They are the sole survivors of a crew of convicted felons who bought their freedom from their sentences with this mission of no return and were tortured on board with experiments by the mad reproductive scientist Dibs (Juliette Binoche). In complete isolation, father and daughter approach their final and inevitable destination - the black hole, the end of time and space. In her science fiction thriller, Claire Denis worked with an outstanding ensemble of actors: In addition to Robert Pattinson and Oscar winner Juliette Binoche, André Benjamin (OutKast), Mia Goth and Lars Eidinger, among others, can be seen in the main roles. The impressive visual design was created by the renowned lighting and concept artist Olafur Eliasson, accompanied by a meditative soundtrack by Stuart A. Staples of the Tindersticks.
