The Black Square

The art robbers Vincent (Bernhard Schütz) and Nils (Jacob Matschenz) are close to their goal: In their cruise cabin lies the 60 million dollar painting "The Black Square", which they are to hand over to their client on board. They have only one small unforeseen appointment beforehand, and that is on the ship's show stage. While they are struggling through their program as Elvis and David Bowie impersonators, unknown people take the opportunity and steal the "Black Square"...! Vincent, the prevented painter, makes an exact copy of Malevich with somewhat idiosyncratic methods - and when that also goes missing, a second one. Meanwhile, the noose is tightening around the crook duo: Nils is unmasked, and Vincent doesn't notice that his acquaintance from the board bar, the immensely artistic Martha (Sandra Hüller), is only seeking his proximity and sitting for him because she also only wants one thing - "The Black Square"...
