"We're going to change everything. Everything." It's the early 1980s in Switzerland - rebellion is in the air. Committed lawyer Barbara Hug (Marie Leuenberger) wants to turn the backward justice system around from the ground up. She represents left-wing autonomists like the rebellious Heike (Jella Haase) and uses the court as her stage. One day, the industrialist's son and career criminal Walter Stürm (Joel Basman), just escaped from prison once again, seeks her advice. The charismatic Stürm contradicts all the rules, lives unconditional egoism and repeatedly clashes with the system. Not only Heike falls for his boyish charm, Barbara is also attracted to her client. When the jailbreak king ends up in jail again, he is put in solitary confinement. And Stürm, of all people, who does not adhere to any ideology, becomes a symbol for freedom and the dignity of the individual in left-wing circles - and the object of desire of two unequal women.
