It is a forgotten city, still traversed by men in white suits and masked children. After the nuclear disaster in Fukushima in 2011, this charmless town, located in the grim “exclusion zone,” is stubbornly trying to return to normal life. Evacuated during the disaster, some residents have since returned home, such as a young woman unable to abandon the horses she cared for at the stud farm. To leave or to stay? Everyone is faced with this dilemma, as the risks of radiation remain. A fatalistic woman in her sixties recalls that she and her husband, who are too old, are not afraid of the effects predicted for the next two decades. Meanwhile, another witness struggles to sweep up potentially contaminated dust on the schoolchildren's path...
