Yoav is not off to a good start in Paris. The apartment whose door he knocks on is empty. When he takes a bath there, his things are stolen. Yet the young Israeli has come here with the highest expectations. He wants to get rid of his nationality as quickly as possible. Being Israeli is a burden for him, his compatriots annoy him just as much as the visits to the Israeli embassy. Becoming French, on the other hand, means redemption for him. To erase his origins, Yoav tries to replace the language. No Hebrew word is to pass his lips again; instead, he does everything he can to perfect his French. The dictionary becomes his constant companion on his aimless wanderings through Paris. He seems to find support from Caroline and Emile, a young French couple with whom he befriends. But their interest in his person does not seem to be entirely selfless....
