You want to be healthy, slim, tanned and dynamic. Instead, you find yourself in the second half of your life with a breast cancer diagnosis. Frederike von Stechow, an actress at the Grazer Landestheater, is one of the eight women who, according to statistics, are diagnosed with breast cancer in the course of their lives. The disease takes hold of her life in an imperious and cruel way and dictates her everyday life anew. Familiar daily routines are replaced by doctors' appointments, chemotherapy and operations. Within this heteronomy imposed by the illness, it is important to create strategies for free spaces that counter the threat. For Frederike it is the theater stage, for streetcar driver Marijana Gavric the cockpit of a Graz streetcar. And then there are the recordings from a diary camera that both women carry with them.
