NOT IN MY BACKYARD uses the story of two convicted sex offenders in Miami, Florida, to approach one of the last taboo subjects in our society: the rehabilitation of child molesters. The film takes the unusual perspective of the offenders and tells the story exclusively from their point of view. Confronted with their lives on the fringes of the community, their past and their deeds, a picture of the offenders emerges that raises the question of what part society plays in the existence of child molesters.
