Somewhere in North Africa: For ages, women have been fetching water from a spring at the top of a mountain in the scorching heat - arduous work. But modernity and emancipation are also making inroads in the most remote parts of the country. Led by young Leila, the women demand that the men lay a water pipe. When the traditionalists refuse, the women start a love strike.
