The Orchestra: Claudio Abbado and the Musicians of the Orchestra Mozart

The Mozart Orchestra was established by Maestro Claudio Abbado in 2004 in Bologna, Italy. It brings together the best classical music performers in the world by mixing young promising as well as established solo artists. This documentary offers a unique and favourite glance at Maestro Abbado’s work and into the working life of a classical music player in contemporary times by following the Orchestra’s European tour in 2012-2013. The film shows the public and the private life of a group of musicians - both from the musical and human point of view and includes a long interview with Maestro Abbado as well as excerpts from concerts and rehearsals.
