The Beginner

As a child, 58-year-old Annebärbel Buschhaus dreamed of a great career as a figure skater. At the insistence of her domineering mother Irene, she finally studied medicine after all. Even though she has long since taken over her mother's medical practice, she is not her own boss, because Irene still secretly calls the shots. In general, she makes her daughter feel like a huge disappointment. When she is then also left by her husband for another woman at Christmas, Annebärbel has had enough for good. Soon to be 60, she decides to live her dream from now on. She puts on her skates, takes to the ice, and immediately the old passion is rekindled.
