The Peppercorns

The Pfefferkörner find squids with hidden diamonds on the beach of the Elbe. When they have the stones checked by an expert in St. Pauli, they are shocked: they are so-called 'blood diamonds' from Africa, used to pay for weapons. The Pfefferkörner now have dangerous gangsters after them who want their precious stones back. Laurenz, Lilly and Yeliz barely manage to escape and flee to Lilly's father, who works for Port Security in the Port of Hamburg. But the gangsters strike back and kidnap Hatice, Yeliz's mother. They propose a trade: Yeliz's mother for the diamonds. The handover location: the sewer shaft under the Lombardsbrücke. Yeliz and the other Pfefferkörner want to hand over the diamonds on their own so as not to endanger Hatice's life. But the gangsters play dirty and the children's lives are put in danger.
