Karol is visited by his uncle Pawel, who travels the world as a ship's engineer. When he goes to pick him up at the pier with Yeliz, they have to watch as Pawel is attacked by the two antique thieves Boris and Reiter. They are after a painting of the “Black Madonna” that Pawel is bringing as a gift for Karol. But they don't manage to get their hands on the valuable painting, not even during a later break-in attempt at the Adamskis' house at night. Although Father Leo blesses the picture, Karol is visibly unimpressed and prefers to sell it for little money to a junk dealer so that he can finally afford his coveted game terminal. Meanwhile, the Pfefferkörner find out the true value of the “Black Madonna” on the internet, which is 20,000 euros. Karol's guilty conscience kicks in and he confesses it to his parents. Together they drive back to the junk dealer, but find him overwhelmed in his shop. A clue is finally found when Laurenz discovers a sugar paper on the floor – the same as Boris dropped on the pier, on which the address of a hotel is written. At the hotel, there is a daring showdown between Ritter and Karol, who has climbed into the thieves' room from the backyard.
