“The detective agency - The Peppercorns - will carry out your orders directly and discreetly”. In response to Vivi's ad in the newspaper, the first client promptly contacts the agency. A South American cattle breeder wants to have his spoiled daughter Pilar monitored. The Peppercorns observe how Pilar, in a fit of philanthropy, plays Robin Hood. She has stolen the Countess of Kastelberg's diamond necklace from her hotel room in order to donate it to charity. Now the maid is wrongly suspected. But Pilar is unimpressed. Paul and Katja grab the spoiled girl and take her for cross-examination...
