The Peppercorns

Young director Lisa is staging her first major play, “Alice in Wonderland”, at the St. Pauli Theater. Vivi is taking part in the audition. Just then, the leading actress breaks her ankle. Lisa chooses Natascha, who is already familiar with the play from her student internship, to step in as the new 'Alice'. Vivi's hopes of getting a supporting role, on the other hand, are dashed. She is terribly jealous and convinced that Natascha has bullied her out. Backstage, Natascha witnesses a suspicious conversation. Someone is plotting against Lisa! Someone wants to prevent her play from being a success...
