Maja lives with her mother and stepfather according to the strict rules of a religious community. At some point, she can't stand it anymore and runs away from home – directly into the arms of Tayo, who offers Maja the headquarters as a place to hide. But after just one night, she returns to her mother, who desperately tries to hide Maja's “excursion” from her husband. Meanwhile, Nele and Tayo are investigating the cult and find out that donations are apparently being embezzled and children forced to do penance.
By chance, they overhear Maja's stepfather talking to the cult leader about the difficulties of raising teenagers. When the leader advises him to regularly beat his stepdaughter with a stick, the Pfefferkorns are still able to warn Maja. But a little later, they have to watch helplessly as Norbert Rombach drags his stepdaughter into the car and drives away with her. Will Kira and Levin make it to Maja's house in time to prevent the worst?
