In this film, we watch how a dredger works. Captain Markus and dredger operator Sven show us how they dredge gravel from the riverbed so that the river is deep enough for ships. The gravel is lifted out with a large grab and loaded onto a barge. Anchor piles hold the ship in place and Sven steers the dredger.
