At the school festival, the Pfefferkorn class collected money for an orphanage in St. Petersburg. But as it turns out, the letter with the money never arrived there. Now Katja, who was supposed to post the letter, is accused by her classmates of stealing the money. Deeply hurt and without telling Ilze and her uncle Andrej, Katja sneaks onto a small truck as a stowaway. She wants to go back to St. Petersburg to her old friends and her parents. The Pfefferkörner come up with a plan to prove Katja's innocence...
