The colleagues from the radio patrol are active bowlers in their spare time. Two groups form: the locals and the train travelers. Chief Constable Huber is the locals' best man. He will not be available to his colleagues this evening. A private visit to Huber's home prevents him from devoting himself to his sporting commitments, which everyone regrets.
